The NWDA is an organization that is dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting the working dog heritage.
The objectives of the organization are:
To preserve, promote and exhibit the working character in each dog.
To promote and encourage the training and use of each dog for work that is consistent with it's breed, including obedience, protection work, weight pull as well as agility and other performance sports.
To promote humane treatment and training methods, and to support responsible dog ownership and breeding practices, and encourage sportsmanship among owners, breeders and fanciers.
To provide an outlet for owners, breeders, and enthusiasts to trial their dogs and to recognize achievement with official titles.
